There are debates, day in, day out, as to why things happen.
I’ve sat and thought about why there’s so much corruption, why there’s so much racism, why there’s so much violence, and why there’s so much hate in this world.
At one stage, I believed that it was because everyone was trying to compete, you know, prove that they’re better than another person, hence, they would discredit another person’s authority, religion or take advantage of another person’s physical capabilities.
I then proceeded to think that maybe people do these things to reassure themselves that they’re not a weak link, or a chink in the chain. This need to validate what they’re capable of could have been a catalyst for such things.
But it only struck me recently, that all these things, racism, violence, corruption & hate in general can be summed up by one thing, ignorance.
It’s ignorant for the strong to think that they gain credibility for harassing the weak.
It’s ignorant of one race to think that by tarnishing another, it makes their’s better.
Nearly everything that’s wrong in this world can be brought down to ignorance & misunderstanding, it’s what has caused the gap between people who are of a different race, color, sex or belief.
